How an Ethos panel is built

A printed design face and a hard-wearing finish on a dense, 9 mm porcelain body, made in large 24 × 48 inch panels.

    Surface finish

    High gloss, glossy, matt or carving, depending on the color. Anti-abrasion, stain resistant and easy to wipe clean.

    Printed design face

    Marble, onyx, limestone, stone and concrete designs with up to 12 different faces per color, laid at random so a long wall does not repeat.

    Dense porcelain body

    Water absorption of 0.05% or less, ISO 13006 class BIa, with a Mohs 7 scratch hardness. Color-fast in direct sunlight.

    9 mm, rectified

    24 × 48 inch panels, 600 × 1200 mm, with rectified edges for tight, straight grout lines.

Questions

Porcelain panels, answered

Does it need sealing?

No. Water absorption is 0.05% or less, so the panels do not need sealing like natural stone. Wipe clean with water and a neutral cleaner.

Walls or floors?

Marble, stone, limestone and concrete looks go on walls and floors. The onyx looks are made for feature walls. Each color page lists where it fits best.

What does "faces" mean?

Each color is printed in several different faces. Lay the panels at random, mixing boxes, and a long wall or corridor does not show a repeat.

How are 24 x 48 panels installed?

Like any large-format porcelain: a flat substrate, a large-format tile mortar and a leveling system. Rectified edges allow tight grout joints.
